All swimming lessons will be conducted in the indoor pool at the VSU Student Recreation Center on Sustella Avenue. The advantages of this location include:
- Pool is heated! The water is maintained at 82 degrees.
- Plenty of parking in the lot and parking deck behind the building!
- Family changing rooms are available.
Directions and instructions will be sent with your receipt. The bottom of your receipt serves as a parking permit.
Ensure that your children are safe and comfortable in the water for all your upcoming summer activities. Classes will be taught by Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructors.
Lessons are available for ages 3 and up (must be toilet trained). There is no upper age limit. Classes consist of five 40-minute sessions during one week, and the cost is $59. Class size is limited to 4 students. Classes will be broadly grouped into "Non-Swimmers" and "Swimmers". The instructor will work with each individual at his or her skill level. Parents are encouraged to form groups to fill classes.
Please Note: Due to the limited spaces available for each session, reservations for time slots will not be accepted via email, fax, or regular mail. Walk-in and telephone reservations only, please! Payments and registration forms can be mailed once time slots are confirmed in person or by phone.

Refund and Transfer Policies:
* Full refunds will be given with notification by phone or in writing by 4 PM on the Wednesday before a session begins. No refunds for cancellations after 4 PM on Wednesday, however you may send a substitute.
Transfers to another session will be considered as cancellations and must be requested by 4 PM on the Wednesday prior to the start of the session.
