The Art of Drawing
This class will focus on the framework of building a drawing with a mixed media approach. True factual drawing elements will be considered with a possible mix of abstraction pertaining to each student’s artistic taste and goal for composition. This method will convey to the student the basics of grid drawing and perspective. You can take any photograph and make it come to life through perspective and grip drawing. This class will also teach the art of building texture and color value through colored pencil and marker.

Moeller Pipe Organ Demonstration/Class
Over the past decade the Moeller Pipe Organ at the First United Methodist Church was renovated and then enlarged with digital voice and a new organ console. Come see and hear the story of this transformation and enjoy the musical capabilities of this organ. Have a chance to view the organ works as well. Class will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Valdosta. Sign up to be notified of dates and times when scheduled.

Plants for Fall and Winter Gardening
Get recommendations for the fall/winter garden. Will include soil preparation, fertilizer, cultivating and plant selection. Tips for plant and color coordination and how to winterize plants for the cold. Will have numerous plants to illustrate discussion.

Learn to create craft angels suitable for use on Christmas trees, wreaths or packages. Supplies furnished for Confederate Handkerchief Doll on October 23. Supply list for other two sessions will be distributed on the first day of class.

Basic Bridge
This course is for those who have already played some bridge. If you have not already played Bridge and are interested in the class, please contact our office and we will put you in contact with the instructor. Structured teaching will be combined with playing the game. Basic bridge concepts will be taught related to both bidding and playing the hands. A text will be offered for purchase at the first class. Must have at least 12 students for class to be held.
