Admission Requirements

Teacher Education Admission Requirements

 The following requirements must be satisfied for admission to the Health and Physical Education teacher education program:

  • Complete the KSPE 2999 course

  • Earned at lest 30 semester hours

  • Overall GPA of 2.5 or better

  • Passed all three parts of the GACE I (writing, reading, math) exam or exempted the exam

Exemption scores:

            SAT = 1000

            ACT = 43

  • Passed both the Reading and Writing Regents’ Test or Passed ENGL 1102

  • Completed a criminal background check

  • Secured professional liability insurance

  • Purchased LiveText software and completed all forms during the LiveText orientation session.
