Academic Advising
Each VSU Athletic Training Faculty member advises prospective and admitted athletic training students through the College of Education Advising Center (College of Education Building, first floor). If you do not know who your academic advisor is contact the COE Advising Center at 259-5502 or students can find their advisor’s name on the student information link on BANNER. http://www.valdosta.edu/eas/sis/

Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Student Advising
Incoming freshmen receive academic advising during on of the summer Orientation sesions. VSU ATEP faculty attend the Orientation sessions and provide the advising. Here is an Orientation Information Sheet..
Prospective ATEP Students
You will be assigned to member for the VSU ATEP faculty for academic advising. If you do not know who your academic advisor, is contact the COE Advising Center at 259-5502. **VSU ATEP faculty will communicate with you regarding advising dates via your VSU email account. Check it regularly.
- In general the VSU AETP faculty provides registration counseling to students for Spring semester starting in September and for summer and fall semester in February. Your advisor will send you an email (to your VSU account) about when you can sign up for an an appointment time or when you can access advising information online as three faculty members do their advising online.
- The week of class registration IS NOT the time to receive registration counseling.
- Review the VSU advising checklist and the VSU Undergraduate Catalog to have an idea of the classes you need for the next semester.
