Specialist in Performance Based Leadership

The Department of Curriculum, Leadership, and Technology offers a Specialist degree which leads to clear-renewable certification in performance-based leadership (PL). Students may enter in any semester and complete their programs in three (3) semesters. Courses are delivered in a variety of formats including online, weekend, and condensed summer sessions.

All performance-based leadership candidates must submit an assurance form from a local school system verifying candidates serve in leadership roles as defined by their local systems and supporting the performance-based residency requirements. Examples of these roles include, but are not limited to team leader, grade chair, department chair, SACS team chair, academic coach, school improvement team leader, athletic director, assistant principal, principal, curriculum coordinator, or special education director.
