Sophomore Year:

Junior 1st Semester:

  • ECON 3001
  • ECON 3600  

Junior 2nd Semester: 

  • ECON 3000  

Senior 1st Semester: 

  • ECON 4500  

Senior 2nd Semester: 

  • ECON 4100

Points of emphasis:

  • MATH 1261 should be taken in the Economics Major’s Sophomore year and BUSA 2100 must be taken no later than the First Semester of the Junior year. They are prerequisites or co-requisites for ECON 3000.
  • Both ECON 3000 and ECON 3001 need to be taken in the Economics Major’s Junior year. They are prerequisites for ECON 4100 and 4500.
  • Currently, ECON 3001 is offered in the fall semster and ECON 3000 is offered in the springsemester.
  • Do not rely on taking 3000/4000 level Economics courses in summer semester. summer offerings are limited .
  • if an Economics major is a bridge student and needs to take one Senior Core course, it needs to be BUSA 2100.
  • if an Economics major is a bridge student and needs to take two Senior Core course, it needs to be BUSA 2100, and either ECON 3000 or ECON 3001. if it is the summer semester, the student should take BUSA 2100 and a upper level Economics course, if one is offered.
  • minimum of four (4) Economics elective courses (12 hours) are needed for graduation.
