Basic Information

Students may enter the program in the fall, spring or summer.  The MAcc program has six required accounting courses and the student chooses four electives.  The MAcc can be completed in 12 months.  A student with an undergraduate accounting degree who completes the MAcc program will have fulfilled all the educational requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Georgia.

MAcc students are eligible for membership in Beta Alpha Psi – a national accounting and finance honorary society founded in 1919.  Beta Alpha Psi sponsors a fall Meet the Firms event where students can meet representatives from many of the public accounting firms that recruit VSU graduates.
