Graduate Degree Programs


Master of Music Performance in Piano is designed for students who are intent on pursuing a career in piano performance. Students will receive two fifty-minute lessons a week and are required to perform a graduate recital. Performance opportunities include studio class, studio recitals, student recitals, guest master classes, state piano competitions, and the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition.


  • Three advanced pieces in contrasting styles to be performed by memory

  • Two major and harmonic minor scales and arpeggios, four octaves ascending and descending, hands in parallel motion, to be performed as rapidly as possible

  • Sight-reading
