Carol Mikkelsen teaches applied voice and voice related courses, and is the Head of the voice area of the Department of Music. She holds a Doctor of Music degree from Florida State University and a Master of Music degree from Indiana University. She has been an active active member of National Association of Teachers of Singing for 25 years, having served as Georgia Chapter President and Georgia Governor; Southeastern Regional Governor and a member of the National Board of Directors. She has appeared in solo recital, oratorio and opera performances at Colleges and Universities in the Southeast, as well as lecture/recitals for the Regional College Music Society, and the Georgia Foreign Language Convention.
