Health and Physical Education Majors' Club

Description: To provide opportunities for HPE majors to engage in community service, professional development, and social interaction. Previous projects include, hosting two separate 5K running events annually (one in Valdosta and the other @ Jekyll Island). The HPE Majors club has also completed service projects at local schools, and has both attended and presented at the Share the Wealth Conference.

Psychology Club

Description: The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.

Description: SPAGE is the Student Professional Association of Georgia Educators, it is an organization under the direction and guidance of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators. The basic purpose of the Student Professional Association of Georgia Educators (SPAGE) is to assist students in examining their career opportunities in their specific field of education, participating in exploratory activities in this field and in studying and becoming involved in educational issues.

VSU Chapter of the National Student SpeechLanguage Hearing Association

Description: Founded in 1972, the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association is the national organization for master's candidates and undergraduate students interested in the study of normal and disordered human communication behavior. NSSLHA is the only official national student association recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).NSSLHA membership has over 18,000 members and chapters in more than 285 colleges and universities.Our local chapter was recognized as an official student organization at VSU in 1998.
