The Chaucer: Life and Times CD-ROM by Primary Source Media,  provides learners with a wealth of textual, visual and audio learning experiences. Original texts, as well as translations, glossary and critical essays are included and are completely searchable. Learners may also bookmark and annotate the text passages. Individual users are permitted to print or copy to computer extracts from the CD-ROM for personal study or limited classroom use.

The main screen of the program is a graphical user interface that provides the learner access to:

• Middle English versions of Chaucer' works from the Riverside Chaucer
• Translations of Chaucer's workd, published by Penguin
• A Time Line of the life and times of Chaucer.
• Overviews of Chaucer' works, written especially for the CD
• A Life and Times section, containing biographical and historical information about Chaucer and Medieval Life.
