In response to the needs of the many caregivers in our community, we are dedicated to providing a safe environment for those who are impaired by Alzheimer Disease or similar dementia. We strive to provide a cheerful, homelike place to help overcome isolation, to delay nursing home confinement, and to provide caregivers with education, support, peace of mind, and above all–some time for themselves. We are available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

The food distribution warehouse is our 45,000 ft. facility where donated food and goods are collected and processed. Annually, over 8 million pounds of food, which would otherwise have been destroyed, is brought to the warehouse where it is processed properly. Volunteers are needed to sort, clean, inspect, and shelve these items so they are able to se distributed to the needy. Individual and group volunteers can come in Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, and Thursday evenings until 8pm. Upon request, Saturdays can be scheduled.

When a person faces a life-limiting illness, he or she deserves to live the rest of their life fully, comfortably, and with enhanced dignity. Toward that goal, the United Hospice team provided dedicated quality holistic care, treating the physical, social, and spiritual being as the patient approaches his or her final days. Volunteer services include an individual to talk with openly about feelings, companionship, provide favorite foods or music, and join in favorite pastimes.
