Lora S. Backes, M.Ed., CCC/SLP
I have worked previously in the public school system in south Louisiana for the Ascension Parish School System from 1983-1993 as a speech-language pathologist with the elementary and middle school age populations. I have worked the past 13 years here at VSU supervising on-campus clinical practicum, off-campus internships, and off-campus externships. My areas of interest are communication disorders in the school-age population and the area of communication disorders with adults with developmental disabilities.

I have received successive ASHA ACE Awards in January of 1996 and in April of 1999 for completing 70+ clock hours of continuing education in a three year time period.
