Lora S. Backes, M.Ed., CCC/SLP

 

I have worked previously in the public school system in south Louisiana for the Ascension Parish School System from 1983-1993 as a speech-language pathologist with the elementary and middle school age populations. I have worked the past 13 years here at VSU supervising on-campus clinical practicum, off-campus internships, and off-campus externships. My areas of interest are communication disorders in the school-age population and the area of communication disorders with adults with developmental disabilities.

Book Reviewer:

Served as a critical reviewer for Allyn and Bacon publishers for the textbook entitled, Introduction to Communication Disorders – A Life Span Perspective, March through October of 1998, reviewing 13 chapters. The Introduction to Communication Disorders textbook was published in 2000.
