THe Higher Education Leadership Program
Tracks
The Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership offers two tracks for students to tailor their academic career to achieve specific professional goals. The below tracks meet the standards and recommendations outlined by the Council for Advancement of Standards (CAS) in Higher Education.
The Higher Education Administration track is a 36-hour program of study that prepares graduates for management positions in a variety of fields, including admissions, academic advising, residence life, student activities, financial aid, career services, and offices designed to support and retain historically underserved student populations. The Student Affairs track is a 42-hour program of study that couples the field's latest theories and practices with an understanding of the historical, cultural and sociological issues that impact contemporary student affairs practitioners. Students within the program will jump into leadership positions on campus as graduate assistants in various departments within the Division of Student Affairs. Completion Requirements

Admission Requirements
Students admitted into the Master of Higher Education Leadership program must complete the VSU Graduate School Requirements.
Applicants should apply as early as possible as and no later than the following dates:
Fall Semester: July 15
Spring Semester: November 15
Summer Semester: May 1
