New: Doctoral Program Addition!
In August, 2009 VSU introduced a Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Leadership on the Macon State College campus. For additional information see the New Leadership Doctoral Options page on this website.
Application deadline for the fall 2010 doctoral program at both Macon and VSU campuses is March 15th.

Reminder - Spring Application Deadline, November 15th
Graduate programs in Educational Leadership provide instruction, research, and service to aspiring and practicing school leaders, teacher leaders, and other organizational leaders. The M.Ed. program is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge, skills, and values to perform competently in entry-level leadership roles at the Pre-12 or Higher Education levels. The Ed.S. degree will equip students with the advanced knowledge and skills to perform well as leadership professionals. The Ed.D. degree is designed to prepare leaders to assume active leadership roles in their organizations.
M.Ed., Ed.S. and Ed.D. programs are offered through a flexible delivery system. Courses will be delivered in a variety of formats including online, weekly, weekend, and condensed summer sessions. The M.Ed., Ed.S., Certification, and Teacher-Leader Endorsement programs are ongoing and students may enter at any time. The Ed.D. program is offered each fall.
Please Note! PSC Leadership Certification Deadline Approaching
Please remember the PSC adopted new Educational Leadership Certification rules on December 13, 2007. The new rule states that to be grandfathered under the “old” L certification rule students enrolled in an educational leadership certification/degree program prior to June, 2008 must complete certification/degree requirements by September, 2009. For our students this new rule means that you must complete all certificate requirements and apply by the end of SUMMER SEMESTER, 2009. See
