The Teacher Leader Endorsement consists of a three course sequence that can be either a stand alone program or integrated into an educational master’s, specialist, or doctoral degree at VSU. The program includes courses in curriculum, instruction, and leadership. In addition to coursework the candidate is required to complete a Teacher Leader Inventory of Leadership Experiences (ILE). The Teacher Leader ILE is a series of performance-based activities (PBAs) necessary for successful practice as a teacher leadership. The purpose of this endorsement is to provide teacher leaders with the tools necessary to facilitate school improvement.
Any teacher who obtains a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University's new EDL program will be eligible for the Teacher Leader Endorsement
