Message from Ms. Maggie Roberts

     Welcome to the Advising Center for the James L. and Dorothy H. Dewar College of Education web site. The center was created to aid you as you progress toward graduation. The web site is continually updated to give you current information about programs and policies within the College of Education.
     Academic Advising begins with orientation and continues each semester through to graduation. At Valdosta State, advising is mandatory. Students must meet with their academic advisor each semester to be made eligible to use the registration system. Students are assigned an academic advisor depending on the student’s area of interest and the advisor’s area of expertise.
     The faculty members and staff working with the Advising Center are dedicated to providing you with the advising services that will ensure a smooth transition to VSU and a successful academic career. We are located in room 222 in the James L. and Dorothy H. Dewar College of Education. We welcome your questions.
