The 16th Annual Gulf South Adult and Career Education Conference will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009, on the VSU campus. Luncheon Keynote Speaker: Cynthia Greene

Ms. Greene serves as Business Manager for the Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education and is a part-time instructor at Georgia State University. She was the program specialist for Business and Information Technology at the Georgia Department of Education until her retirement in May 2006. She was also a high school business teacher for 25 years in the Fulton County School System. Ms. Greene served as FBLA advisor throughout her teaching career, and is the author of high school and middle school Entrepreneurship textbooks that have been adopted across the nation. She served as President of the Southern Business Education Association and the Georgia Business Education Association and was the 2005-2006 President of the National Business Education Association. Ms. Greene received the NBEA Outstanding Leadership Award in Supervision in 1999 and the NBEA Secondary Teacher of the Year Award in 1995.

Remember, this conference is for all areas of Adult and Career Education including Agriculture Education, Business & Information Technology Education, Family & Consumer Science Education, Healthcare Science Technology Education, Marketing Education, Technology Education and Technical, Trade & Industrial Education in both the secondary and postsecondary education settings.
