The Annual Summer Conference
A meeting is held every summer to address current Workforce and Human Resource Education issues on a aational scale. Activities and actions of the council are discussed with all members. A "round robin" is held to give each institutional member a turn to keep others informed on recent developments at his/her own university, and suggestions are made by others to address issues of concern. A sharing of ideas occurs and issues of advocacy are discussed to promote programs at both the federal and state levels. This activity aids in supporting funding and legislation to support career and technical education (CTE) teacher preparation and HRD programs. The Council is currently looking into creating a national accreditation body for university programs for CTE teachers and is seeking professional partners for this venture.
