workshops

The impact of GCEE workshops is the subject of an extensive study that utilizes data from over 166,000 student test observations from 2004 to 2006. Two main conclusions have emerged from the study:

  • Students in classes taught by high school teachers of economics who have attended GCEE workshops score higher (statistically) than other students on the economics end-of-course tests; and
  • The more GCEE workshops a teacher attends, the better the student test scores.

If you find yourself teaching economics or personal finance classes, our workshops are designed to help you brush up on content. If test scores in economics concern you, please consider how the VSU-CEE can help with:

Free Materials = Top quality teaching materials (Notebooks, CDs, etc.).
Registration = No registration fee for most workshops.
Paid Sub = GCEE may pay for your substitute.
Free Meals = GCEE provides breakfast and lunch for many workshops.
PLU Credits = Professional learning unit credits available (2-day workshops only).
