The Department of Communication Arts:
- Offers the Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Major in
Mass Media (emphasis areas in broadcast journalism, international documentary production, audio, and video),
Speech Communication (emphasis areas in general speech, intercultural and organizational communication, and public relations),
Theatre Arts (emphasis areas in performance, production and musical theatre),
Dance (training in performance, teaching and choreography).
- Supports Minors in Dance, Speech Communication, Mass Media Studies, and in Theatre Arts.
- Mounts a seven-production theatre season on campus during the academic year.
- Produces three musicals in the Peach State Summer Theatre.
- Programs the local cable system channel VSU TV-11
- Promotes an award winning Debate Team
