Knowledge, Awareness, Respect, Maturity, & Achievement

KARMA (Knowledge, Awareness, Respect, Maturity, & Achievement) is the VSU Peer Education Program. Students are trained to present programs on a variety of health-related topics to classes, residence halls, Greek organizations, and other student groups & organizations. KARMA students also present programs in the community, to grades K-12 in the Valdosta & Lowndes County school systems.

The topics addressed in these presentations are: alcohol and other drugs, self-esteem, helping a friend with an alcohol or other drug problem, eating disorders, sexual assault, & HIV/AIDS.
