Whitney

Hello Everyone!

My name is Whitney and I am 18 years old. I recently graduated

from Brookwood High in Snellville, Georgia. Home of the Broncos!

Back home I am considered a “traitor” for even wanting to live in

the same county that beat us in football at state our SENIOR year.

I only know of two other people coming to VSU from my school

and that’s the way I like it. I love meeting new people and I found

going off to college was the best way to do it. I have wanted to

attend Valdosta State since I was 14 years old. You are probably

thinking, “How in the world did you know where you wanted to go

to college when you were still in middle school?” It’s easy… just

step on the campus of Valdosta State and you will fall in love.

Everything there is just so pretty.

I am considered a social butterfly by all of my friends.  I believe I fit

in to every “group” of students. I am friends with basically everyone

and I have no enemies. I am very outgoing and I did not miss one

single athletic event last year. Football is my favorite sport to watch

and I plan on being at every VSU football game this year. I am very

athletic and love to work out and stay in shape; partially because I

don’t want to join the “freshmen fifteeners”. I played softball in high

school but decided not to play in college because I believe it would

have taken too much of my “getting to know everyone” time. I

know I won’t be able to meet all 10,000 students at VSU but I

would like to try!

Some people say that high school is the best time of your life.

College, to me, is the time when you meet your best friends and

have the most fun. I am looking forward to my freshman experience

at VSU this fall. I know I’m going to have a blast!!
