Well, well, well…what can I say? Maybe that college is amazing!! Yea, that sounds about right…late nights, fast food, no curfew, no parents, parties!  Ok.…I have to add studying, libraries, books, teachers, and bad parking in there too…sorry but “work first, play later,” is the saying.  Some of us in college make up our own saying, “play first, work later” and there are those that just stick with PLAY! But, they usually don’t end up staying in college very long.

I will say I have had a hard time adjusting to all the work college throws at me.  I’m just starting to pick up on how to perfect your time in one day.  Trust me, days seem to get shorter and shorter because you just have so much going on. You just feel there needs to be 40 hours in a day instead of 24.  Valdosta is splendid, though.  There are so many clubs and organizations going on you just want to join them all.  I am trying to start in the Outdoors Adventure Club.  They travel to spots close by and do different outdoor activities such as: white water rafting, rock climbing, canoeing, and more fun stuff.  I can’t wait to start in that.  I love being outdoors and having a good time while I’m out there.

I did, however, encounter a bad experience…. It was about a month ago.  People were getting sick left and right and I ended up getting sick (like I knew I would) so I went to the infirmary to get checked out.  They gave me medicine to clear it all up but to my surprise I was allergic to it.  I woke up a few days later with hives all over my body.  Yep, not too cool!  I decided to head home to my mom (don’t make fun, you know you would do it too) and she took me to the doctor.  I had to get a shot…in a place the sun don’t shine!!)  I really felt kind of violated…but it did make me better so that’s all that matters.

I went to my first college football game. It was a pretty intense environment.  We had been undefeated the whole season…and of course the one I go to we lose.  Maybe I’m just full of bad luck, who knows?  But, I felt kind of stupid because I definitely did not know the cheer for when we made a touchdown so I looked like a scared little freshman…I’m a freshman…but not a scared one haha.  So, I decided I will teach it to you! (Yes, I know, great idea).  Alright, it goes like this….B-L-A-Z-E-R-S  Goooo Blazers Goooo! Plain and simple, just spell out blazers and then scream go blazers go! See, you would have never known it if you didn’t read my blog!! Go ahead and laugh at me for trying to teach a chant but you’ll thank me when your standing there in the crowd at your first football game!

Okie Dokie kids, that’s about all I have for now. Tune in next time, I’m sure I’ll have another embarrassing story or some bad luck in there. Story of my life…
