IT’S FINALLY SPRING!

Hello everyone! I can’t believe that spring break is already over and it is almost time for April!!!!

I just recently got advised last week for the classes that I will be taking during Maymester (yes, I’m crazy enough to take a class for 3 weeks all crammed together). We also planned out the classes that I will be taking in the Fall of 2009. It’s really crazy that I’m already thinking about those classes when I feel like I was just registering for Fall 2008 during orientation. People don’t lie when they say “time flies by when you are having fun!” :)

Classes are still going pretty good. My midterm grades were decent but I’m working really hard to bring them up to maintain my good GPA, if not bring it up a little bit.

The weather has been really great down here. I’ve been taking all my chances to go out on the front lawn and lay out by the pool with friends.

I got a new job at the new hotel in town called the Hilton Garden Inn. I serve in the restaurant called the Great American Grill and then sometimes bartend at night. It’s a great atmosphere and the people there are really cool to work with.

Over spring break I stay in Valdosta instead of going to the beach. I worked all week and hung out with the friends that were still in town. I had a blast even though I wasn’t at the beach. The beginning of the weekend on spring break, I went down to my Grandma’s house with the whole family to celebrate my Grandma turning 80! Woo! Party! Haha. I did have a good time though because it’s always a blast to get with family you haven’t seen in a while.

That pretty much sums up everything that’s been going on in my life. I’m staying pretty busy all the time so it will seem like my boyfriend will return from Afghanistan sooner!!! :)

I did go home this past weekend to observe at my mom’s school for my education class. That was a whole lot of fun and an excellent experience. It only makes me more excited to get into my major classes and be a physical education teacher!

It really makes me sad that there is only 6 weeks of class and then finals. After finals are done I will have to sum up my whole freshman year experience!

Stay posted for the next update! I’m going to try my hardest to squeeze in 3 more posts for the Faces of V-State blog. Everyone take care and start thinking of pranks for April Fool’s Day!
