Hey guys!  Hope you all had a good holiday!  I’m back at V-State now, starting my second semester.  I dropped my first class ever, Math 2620 and I added Sociology 1101 in its place so that I would still have 16 hours.  So far, classes are going really well, and I love that I only have classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (even though on Thursdays I go to class all day!).

I am back to working at the admissions office three days a week for some spending money, which is really nice.  Yesterday at work, I got to go on a campus tour with some prospective students.  It was great to answer their questions because I remember being in their position around this time last year.  But overall, on-campus jobs are really great and very convenient because they work with your school schedule, aren’t open on weekends, and you don’t have to drive to get to work!

We are having a lot of construction done on campus, with the new parking desks, new infirmary, and a new residence hall.  The new residence hall, Hopper Hall, will be suite style rooms that will house about 500 people.  The parking decks will be done by the fall of 2008 as well and will create about 500 more spots for the Oak Street lot.  Parking is a little hectic right now, but it is settling down now that all of the students are getting used to it! And lastly, the infirmary will be done by fall of 2009.  Overall, the buildings are going up very fast and progress is being made every day.

And lastly, we are Division II Football Champs this year!  Go Blazers!  It’s great to be back!
