You know, it’s really unfortunate how beautiful the weather is here in Valdosta.  You wonder why, I suppose?  I am deathly sick!  Ok, maybe I just have a slight cold but it still stinks! I am miserable right now.  I love going outside and just sitting on the front lawn with my friends but I can’t right now.  It’s making me angry! The pollen is really bad right now so I can’t breathe.  I woke up this morning with a stuffy nose, sore throat, and sneezing every other second.  Why me?  I mean, I have a hand sanitizer key chain on my purse, how do I get picked to be sick!?  Anyway, enough pity on me!

Alright, I have a story…and I was skeptical to tell you it or not but I just said what the heck.  It was just the other night and we were going over to a friend’s apartment.  Me, being the class clown that I am, decided to wear my sweet Heely’s (the shoes with wheels) out.  I was doing fine for awhile.  I showed them off in the lobby and of course everyone was jealous I had them (ok maybe that is a lie but just go with it).  Anyway, we get to the apartment and when I get out I see everyone at the door.  I got so excited about showing them that I made a mad sprint to where they were standing.  I did what I usually do to make myself roll on the wheels but I guess the uneven concrete didn’t agree with my shoes having wheels.  Long story short, fell flat on my face.  And, no, this wasn’t graceful by any means.  It hurt!  I sure as heck was not going to cry, and I couldn’t act like I did that on purpose, so I was stuck.  Laughter filled the air of my so called “friends” and my dignity was shattered.  There I was, fallen to the ground holding my knee while they all gathered around to make their comments.  It’s funny how they didn’t ask if I was ok at first, they just laughed and laughed.  Hahaha Alex fell on her Heely’s.  But, no it didn’t stop there.  I got it from them the rest of the night.  Lesson learned, I am getting old…and shoes with wheels are made for 10 year olds to roam around in Target on.  But, hey that is not stopping me! I’m back in action.  I just have to make sure to have a good surface next time ; )

Well, let me go blow my nose again so I can close my mouth to breathe.  Ahh life is wonderful isn’t it?

Until next time,

Alex
