Hey everyone!
Oh Man! These past couple of days have been so crazy! I moved in on Wednesday along with everyone else. I had to leave my house in Douglasville around 6:30 am! Pretty early. I followed my dad down in my car. The weather was horrible!! It was raining very bad! I signed in at Hopper, got my VSU ID card activated and got my room key. Then my dad and I parked the car, and started moving stuff up to my room. Catherine, my roommate, got all of her stuff moved in a little while after I did.
Later, Catherine and I unloaded a lot of our boxes and got the room rearranged as best as we could. We decorated our room with the colors black, pink, and silver. I love our room!
For dinner, on move in day, we went to the pizza place on Baytree called Pizza Quick! It was so good and very cheap so I'm sure we will back there when we are tired of eating at Palms everyday--even though Palms
does have some really good food!!
The weekend was great! I got to enjoy myself without having to worry about going to class. I have met a lot of really cool people!! I really like the people that I live with in the room! I'm in a 4 person room in Hopper; it's me and my roommate Catherine, and then the other two girls--Megan and Jasmine!
On Monday, classes started! I really like my Biology class and there is a couple people I know that are in there. I later found out that my biology lab doesn't start until next week, so that's pretty cool! All my other classes have been really great! I started to get all my books and there is some other stuff that I need to go get, then I will be ready to go!
Oh yeah! I went to a church on Sunday with some of my friends. Its called Cross Pointe. I really liked the service! I think it would be really awesome to get involved with that church. I also want to check out the BCM (Baptist Christian Ministries)! I've heard a lot of good things about it!
Yay! Saturday is GAME DAY! We are playing Fort Valley State. I'm really excited about going! On Saturday morning I might be doing the Centennial Fun 5K run! Woo!
I'm so excited about finally being down here! Now all I need to do is--stay focused and stay out of trouble!! :)
