Dean's Message

Dear VSU Parents and Family Members:

The University wants to keep you in touch with what’s going on campus. Please use this page to keep updated on campus events and issues. Our Parent Resource Center is designed to help family members easily connect with various parts of the University that are of interest to them. We will update this page regularly, and urge you to visit it often.

Please use this site to learn about the many valuable services that VSU has to assist students in being successful. We know how important it is for parents and families to be a part of their students’ college experience, and we are here to help identify resources that will aid you in advising your student on what path to take when they reach a difficult decision or must make a critical choice.  If you need assistance, please contact the main student affairs number (229) 333-5941 or you may contact Dean Turley at nwturley@valdosta.edu

We are in the process of restructuring the VSU Parent and Family Programs.  If you are interested in being a part of this restructuring, please contact Dean Turley at nwturley@vladosta.edu.

Finally, please feel free to contact us if you have specific questions or concerns that require more information.

Sincerely,
Hudson P. Rogers
Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs & Acting Vice President for Student Affairs
