Summary

In Fall of 2008 and 2014, the Valdosta State University Information Technology Helpdesk was nominated to compete with call centers, service desks, and help desks throughout the University System of Georgia for the Chancellor's Customer Service Award.

Our Helpdesk was selected by the Chancellor as a GOLD Level Award winner both times based on our ability to implement a continuous-improvement environment in order to perform well beyond expectations in the realms of client service quality and IT service innovation.

In the category of Front Desk Support Excellence, the VSU IT Helpdesk was selected as a Gold Level Award winner among all call centers, service desks, and helpdesk throughout the University System of Georgia. Requirements of this position include the ability and skill to assist multiple customers directly or through proper referral in a high traffic volume setting.

This award honors organizations that have been willing to go above and beyond their standard job duties to ensure that the client service they provide is:
