Logging into Remote Desktop
Double-click the Remote-to-VSU icon that was installed on your desktop.
Fill in the form appropriately. Then, click the Connect button.
- Remote Desktop Server: Enter rdc2.valdosta.edu into this field.
- IP Address of the Remote Computer: Enter your office computer's IP Address into this field. This information is written in the Information Security e-mail you received with the Remote Desktop software attached.
Note: If you are located in the Health Science and Business Administration building, you will instead etner the IT number of your computer followed by .valdosta.edu (for example: it12345.valdosta.edu:3389) into this field.
- Username: Enter your VSU Active Directory username. This is the same username as your VSU email address, but does not include "@valdosta.edu".
- Password: Enter your VSU Active Directory password.
Note: If you do know your username or password, you can retrieve this information using our Password Management tool.
A second login prompt will appear. Enter VSU\<username> into the first field, replacing <username> with your Active Directory username.
In the second field, enter your Active Directory password. Finally, click the OK button.
