Modifying Pop-up Blocker Settings For HallNET (INTERNET EXPLORER)
Hallnet uses the pop-up window pictured below as mechanism to disconnect you from the network.
This window is important, since all students are only allowed to have one device connected to Hallnet at a time. This means that if you are using someone else's computer to connect wirelessly, it is important that you disconnect from the network on their computer, as it may prevent you from logging in on your own computer.
Internet Explorer's pop-up blocker has settings that have been known to prevent this window from appearing properly. However, it is possible to adjust these settings without turning your pop-up blocker off altogether using the steps listed below.
Launch Internet Explorer.
Click the Tools menu. Then, move your mouse pointer over Pop-up Blocker. Finally, click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
Enter bluemoon.valdosta.edu in the Address of website to allow: field. Then, click the Add button.
You should see bluemoon.valdosta.edu listed in the Allowed sites: field.
Enter redmoon.valdosta.edu in the Address of website to allow: field. Then, click the Add button.
You should see redmoon.valdosta.edu listed in the Allowed sites: field.
Click the Close button.
Congratulations! You have successfully modified your pop-up blocker settings for Hallnet.
