These instructions are designed to be used only if:
  • You are a student attending Valdosta State University
  • You are also not employed by Valdosta State University
  • You are applying for an account from a Valdosta State University computer lab.

If you are Valdosta State University employee and applying for an account from an office computer, please use alternate application steps listed here.

Step 1:

Enter the following login information and then click the OK button.

Username: VSULab

Password: guest

Step 2:

Once the computer desktop has loaded, double-click the Apply for Lab Logon Account icon on the top-left corner of the desktop.

Step 3:

Click the I Do Not Know My Password button.

Step 4:

Enter the following information:

i. VSU ID number (Be sure not to include the trailing digit. e.g. 870XXXXXX 0)

ii. Date of Birth

  • Use the drop-down box to enter your month and day. Then, enter your year.

iii. Last Name (as reported to VSU)

Step 5:

Click the Reset Password button.

Step 6:

Enter a new permanent password in both fields based on the following criteria:

I. Minimum of 8 characters

II. No more than 20 characters

III. At least one upper and lower case letter

IV. At least one number

V. Must not resemble a real word

Step 7:

Finally, click the Change Passwords button.

Step 8:

Now go to the start menu and logout of the account before logging in with your own account.
