The Valdosta State University Police Department is responsible for all law enforcement and emergencies on campus. All crimes and emergencies should be reported to Valdosta State University Police, located on the 2nd floor of the Oak Street Parking Deck. Once contacted, the Valdosta State University Police Department will investigate all criminal and quasi-criminal cases and will alert all necessary emergency personnel (fire and rescue). The Police Department is open 24 hours a day, every day throughout the year.

Many people, especially students, report incidents to other university officials with the idea that those officials will notify police. Usually they do not notify police. Anyone wishing to make a police report should contact the department personally. Unless you have spoken with a police officer, you cannot be sure a police report has been made.

Call VSU Police for Non-Emergencies at (229)333-7816 from off campus or 7816 from on campus.

Anonymous reporting can be made to Public Safety by use of the ANONYMOUS TIP LINE, 219-3171, completing our Silent Watch form, or through contact with the University Counseling Center.

For emergencies, dial (229)259-5555 from off campus or 5555 from on campus.
