Tim worked hard to correct the leaking A/C in our office. He made a permanent fix to the drain lines and removed the sump pump used as a temporary fix. Tim went the extra mile to cover the A/C lines with molding and make the job look professional and complete. Thanks TIM!

When the driver of the vehicle showed up, they asked me to back up because they were concerned for my safety. One of the officers stayed right beside me at all times. They were very attentive to my needs and were very apologetic for the delay in the tow truck coming to the scene. Even after the driver of the vehicle asked them to forget it, they followed through with the plan to have the vehicle towed. Hopefully this driver will think twice before he does it again.

 I am a current student at Valdosta State University and I would like to complement Mrs. Sandra B. Griffin from the Student Loan Department. She is an outstanding and exceptional worker who really was of great assistance to me. She was patient, kind, and helpful. When I thought there was no other options for me, Mrs. Griffin went out her way to check all possible avenues in order for me to be here today. If it was not for her, I would not be here today so I am very grateful and wanted to share my gratitude. After speaking with Mrs. Griffin, I gained more hope and appreciation for Valdosta State University. Her assistance was so superb that I felt it was necessary to inform you of her excellent work. I hope when you receive this message,  you inform her that she has made such a positive impact on a student's life and that she deserves to be rewarded and congratulated for her efforts. Marie has handled both of my VSU children student's for the last five years. She is so efficient. She always calls me if there is a problem with one of my children's student or parent plus loans. She takes the time to answer all of my questions. She is a great financial student loan handler. She is so polite and caring on the phone with me. Please do something very nice for her.

I know Mr. Tanner is an Excellent Financial Aid Director and runs his department par excellent and takes care of every single VSU student in the University. But he is also an excellent counselor and director for all of us distraught parents who panic when something goes wrong with our student's financial aid. Our son, Joshua Sepelyak, a sophomore there at VSU found out that none of his parent plus loan money had gone through for the summer. They even dropped one of his classes. We called Mr. Tanner in a panic and he assured us everything would work out. He went to work on my son's financial aid for four days. He found out that we had put the wrong year on the application. He told us to redo a new application. We did and the next day we got a call from Marie in Loans saying that Joshua's parent plus loan was ok and the bursary even showed his summer money. Joshua was able to enroll for a new class too. We would have given up if it wasn't for Mr. Tanner helping us. Please do something extra nice for him.

Russell fixed a problem I had with Java as it relates to accessing ADP Timestamp.  He was very professional, and I was especially impressed by his obvious concern for his client and his willingness to do what was required to correct the problem in a timely manner.  I find IT to be consistently one of the best run divisions on campus, and my experiences with IT have almost invariably been very positive.  Russell's service was outstanding in an outstanding division!

Regina went above and beyond to ensure that a visitor from another university was able to attend a scheduled training session at the University Center. The visitor called the office for directions because she was lost. Fifteen minutes later, the visitor called again from another location and was still lost. Regina advised the visitor to stay where she was and that she would come to the visitor’s location and allow her to follow her back to the University Center. Instead of giving the employee verbal directions again, Regina took the initiative to meet the visitor and provided exceptional customer service. Because of Regina’s efforts, the visitor was able to make the training session on time. Regina, thanks for demonstrating VSU’s commitment to excellent customer service.

On February 7, 2011, I was home sick; however, information was needed by Payroll ASAP. Due to limited staff in the afternoons, I contacted Ms. Freda Wade and asked for her assistance. Without hesitation, she first asked how I was feeling, and then, asked how she may help. I told Freda that I truly appreciated her assistance and she replied, "You would do the same for me." In my opinion, this exemplifies the notion of a team. Thank you Freda.:)

Ron went above and beyond his daily duty to come to my office (Athletics) and tape 8 boxes of books to be shipped.  He offered to do this without me asking him.  They were not even being shipped through Campus Mail - were being shipped through Central Warehouse.  He has always exhibited the highest level of assistance to me but I thought this was worthy of special mention.

I've had an "account locked" recurring issue for about a year.  This time, I went to Samantha to get my account unlocked, and she asked followup questions regarding Outlook - I never knew there was a sync issue between AD and Outlook!  She didn’t just fix the symptom, she used advanced knowledge of AD to help fix the cause!
