Director of Creative Design Services
Jeff Grant joined the Division of University Advancement’s Office of University Relations staff in 1993. A VSU graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, he majored in Art, emphasizing Graphic Design and Computer Aided Design. Jeff is now the Director of Creative Design Services, a primary publication and design support/creative services unit in University Advancement, which provides communications, printing, publication, photography, and Web site consulting; design; and production services for the university.
Joan Dear has been at Valdosta State since 1984 and has worked as the secretary to the director of Development and secretary to the director of Planned Giving. Joan assumed the duties of office coordinator for University Relations in 2001 and is now the project coordinator for Creative Design Services.
Bobby Lacey has been employed with VSU since 2001 & full-time with Creative Design Services since 2007. A lifelong resident of Valdosta, he provides web design to support the university's internal and external communication effort.
Paul Leavy joined Valdosta State as the University Photographer in 2012. He graduated from University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with an emphasis in news photography. Following a 25 year career in news photography he is now promoting the university's image in the community and on campus with his skills in photography.
Daniel has had a previous history with Creative Design Services. Taking an internship with them in the Fall of 2010, and the following semester was asked to do a student assistantship. Graduating from Valdosta State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, (concentration in graphic design), he joined the Creative Design staff and has since provided design services for the university.
Jessica is the newest member of the CDS team. She graduated from Valdosta State University in spring 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Art (with a concentration in graphic design) and joined the Creative Design staff on Oct. 1, 2013.
