victor Quick Reference


When you unpack the unit, you should find the following items:

· Victor Reader Vibe, the digital talking book player.
· An AC/DC adapter and two rechargeable batteries · A Daisy format CD-ROM containing a Getting Started session and the User's Guide.
· A Quick reference guide.
· Small earphones.
· A carrying case.


Top of unit


To turn on Victor Reader Vibe Press the first button (a) located at one o'clock. After a few seconds you will hear the message "Welcome to Victor".

To turn off Victor Reader Vibe Press and and hold the second button (b) located at two o'clock. You will then hear a beep just before powering off.

Volume and Speed Adjust by pressing the toggle key (c) (three o'clock) and using the up (a) and down (b) arrows (one and two o'clock).

Play-Stop The Play-Stop key (d) allows you to start or stop playing a book.



Quick Reference

Switch - The switch allows you to lock or unlock the keys. Push it towards the front of the unit to unlock the keys and towards the back of the unit to lock them.

Connector 1 - Used to plug headphones or an external speaker.

Port - Used to connect a remote (not supported).

Connector 2 - Line Out used to plug the unit into a sound system.

Connector 3 - Used to connect the unit to an electrical outlet using the AC adaptor.

Right side of the unit - Disk drive CD ROM button Opens the clam shell CD-ROM drive.
