Carla Carter Jordan, Assistant Director

Carla is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communications and a Master's Degree in Public Administration. She joined the Cooperative Education Team in 2007 as the Cooperative Education/Internship Coordinator and is currently serving as Assistant Director.

She has over 17 years of professional experience within Georgia State Government which includes Department of Family Services, Department of Adult and Technical Education and The Office of the Secretary of State. During her career she has assisted families to reunite, displace homemakers to find new careers and educate citizens on the importance of voting. In September 2009, she was recognized as a Metro Valdosta Emerging Leader.

Carla serves her community as a member of MetroOne Leadership Team 2010, a member of Leadership Lowndes Class of 2009, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. as a member of the Regional Leadership Team’s Chaplain Council and Arts and Letters Committee, American Association of University Women (AAUW), Sister-to-Sister Chair for 2005, and a mentor.

Loretha CopelandAdministrative Secretary

Loretha is a graduate of Valdosta Technical College with a diploma in Business Office Technology. She has been a part of the Valdosta State University community for 11 years. Loretha began working initially in the Career Services Office then transitioned to the Cooperative Education Department as Administrative Secretary. Loretha is responsible for supervising student workers including the coordination of schedules. She is enthusiastic about assisting students as they engage internships at Valdosta State..

Loretha enjoys teaching primary Sunday school classes. Her vibrant personality is an essential part of her passion for life and love of family.

Ann E. LaceyPart-time, Coop Coordinator

Ann is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of General Studies Degree and an Associate in Secretarial Administration. She joined the Cooperative Education team August 1, 2011. Ann has been employed at Valdosta State for 35 years. She has worked in the Student Affairs office with Volunteer Services, Parents Programs, Special Events, and University Relations.

She has experience in web design, marketing, advertising, and has served on a wide variety of committees while at Valdosta State.

Locally she has served in garden clubs, PTOs and on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society. She was a Woman of the Year nominee, a member of the Valdosta First Methodist Handbell choir, and Cub Scout leader.

Currently she enjoys serving on the Board of Directors for the Children's Advocacy Center, and the Shields-Ethridge Heritage Farm.
