Valdosta State University

eMajor

Valdosta State University is a proud partner in the University System of Georgia’s (USG) eMajor Programs.  eMajor is a group of collaborative institutions with the USG that partner with one another to deliver high-quality, online, bachelor’s degree programs featuring workforce-ready majors that prepare you for success in diverse professional fields, to advance in your current career, or to open new professional doors.  All eMajor degree programs are offered by traditional, public, regionally accredited, USG institutions.  Students know that an eMajor program offers the flexibility, online delivery, and professional skill development they need to excel in their studies and careers.

eMajor offers an innovative approach to learning that will meet the needs of traditional and non-traditional students.  eMajor students have the opportunity to earn credits for prior learning through Prior Learning Assessments (PLA) which that can reduce time to graduation, so working professionals, active duty military personnel, veterans, transfer students, and adult learners who may have stepped away from the traditional classroom can find success.

VSU is an eMajor Affiliate for the following programs:

Order your eMajor Textbooks through MBS Direct*:

eMajor Textbook Ordering Button

*If an eMajor student wishes to use financial aid to purchase his/her textbook(s), please first visit the online bookstore to see if the books needed have already been ordered. Courses can be looked up for the appropriate term by using the alphanumeric course code (POLS 3601 E01) for the Valdosta State campus. Use this order form when the online store does not have the textbook information listed for an eMajor course.

The eMajor student needs to complete the form and return it to the bookstore by either fax or email. The bookstore will notify students about the cost of items that must be special ordered. Students wanting to use their financial aid to purchase textbooks, need to make sure they deposit sufficient money to their flex account to cover the cost of the book plus tax and shipping.

Excess financial aid for Spring, 2014 will be available to deposit to a flex account sometime during the week of January 6th
