Basically, it is just a visual aid for teaching engineering students about taking an isometric drawing and creating the orthographic projections that correspond to the front, top, and right side views of the objects. So you take an isometric view of a shape and you draw to scale the different sides.

Professor Talley Mulligan took a design from thingiverse and modified it to his own. He used the TV design and embedded text into the design to later use as awards for the Mass Media Outstanding Student Awards.
