Materials On Order

When books and other materials are ordered, a catalog record will appear in the Library Catalog.   You can tell whether the book has been received or not by searching the Classic GIL interface.  If it has not yet come in, the status will read "Copy Ordered as of <Date>".  If it has been received, but awaits cataloging, it will read "Copy Received as of <Date>".

Rush request for materials received

Patrons may request 'Rush' processing of materials which have been received. To request 'Rush' processing, send an email to the Acquisitions Department.  Let us know the title of the item you would like, as well as your name and VSU email.  When the items is available for check-out, you will be Contacted by the Circulation Dept.

New Titles

A new titles list my be generated by the Catalog.  Note the different location, time period, and sort options.

 

Materials may be received in the acquisitions department within days of placing an order, however, some materials may take several months to be received based on their availability.
