Step 2: Advising

Advising is required each semester for all undergraduate students. You will not be enabled to register for courses until you have been advised.

How do I get advised to register for classes?

Your acceptance letter from VSU Admissions should indicate your assigned major. Advising instructions will be sent to your VSU e-Mail from your program advisor following your acceptance. Your advisor will communicate with you via phone or by e-Mail to your official VSU e-Mail, not a personal e-Mail account.

Are you an eCore student?

If you are an eCore student or if you plan to take an eCore class, in addition to having your advising flag lifted by your advisor, you must also complete the eCore Orientation Quiz before you are able to register.  Visit the eCore website page and select the eCore Orientation Quiz link.
