Undergraduate Admissions

We look forward to you being part of the VSU community!

To get admitted to Valdosta State University at the Undergraduate level, you will need to submit the following:

1. A VSU Application and a $ 40 application fee. 

  • Online Application - You will have to pay the $40 application fee at the end of the application using a credit/debit with either a Visa, Discover, or MasterCard logo.

  • A Paper Application - You can download it here, and print it out. You can submit the application to the Admissions Office with the $ 40 application fee as a money order, check or pay the $40 application fee through the Admissions Marketplace.

2. A Certificate of Finances

  • You can download the form here, or just go to the Forms page and download it from there. 

3. One of the following if you are not transferring in from a US College/University:

  • SAT Score - Minimum combined total score of 900 (Math + Critical Reading) and a minimum score of 430 for Critical Reading and 400 for Math.

  • TOEFL Score  - Minimum scores depend on the test format

    • Internet - Based : minimum of 69

    • Paper- Based : 523

  • IELTS  - Minimum score of 6.0

  • Completion of the VSU English Language Institute's Level 6 with a B average or better

  • Proof of having completed the ESL Language Centers' Level 112

4. Official Transcripts 

  • If your transcripts are not in English or on a 0-4.0 scale, please have your transcripts evaluated by one of the agencies listed on this page. Your transcripts don't need to be professionally evaluated if you are transferring/ your transcripts are from a US Institution.

5. A completed Certificate of Immunization and Medical History

  • You can download the form here, or just go to the Forms page and download it from there.

Once you have submitted all the required materials, the Admissions Office will make a decision on your acceptance into the university.

*NOTE: The university does accept students on a rolling basis. However, the regular admissions' deadlines mentioned, are suggested deadlines to give students enough time to get their documentation and apply for a student visa.
