Withdrawals After Midterm
A student will not be allowed to withdraw after the mid-term point of the semester, except by completing a petition for withdrawal. In this petition, the reason for the withdrawal after midterm must be for a medical or family emergency, not for an academic reason. These forms must be signed by the instructor, the student’s advisor or the student’s major department head, the appropriate dean, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs. This form will become part of the student’s permanent record, and a W or WF will be assigned by the faculty member.
