PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
**Students should allow at least one and one-half hours per test for check-in, preliminary and post testing procedures, and actual testing time.
**Students should avoid registering for the test during the same time as a class because it may not be an excused absence.
**Students who are signing up for both the Essay and Reading portions of the Exam, must take them during the same section (i.e., A, B, C, or D).

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO TAKE THE EXAM?
**You must not delay initial testing beyond having earned 45 hours of degree credit.  Both portions of the test must be taken the first
time.
**If you have completed 45 hours of degree credit and have not passed the exam, you must enroll in the appropriate prep class (RGTE 0199 and/or RGTR 0198) EACH semester you attend VSU until you pass the exam.  The only exception is for first and second semester transfer students from non-System institution who transfer in 45 or more hours.
**Students who already have a bachelor’s degree, or a higher degree from an accredited college or university do not have to take the Regents’ Test.  Students whose native language is not English and who do not plan to receive a degree from a school within the University System of Georgia should see the International Student Advisor regarding possible eligibility for The Alternate Proficiency Exam.  The International adviser is located in the Office of International Programs and may be reached by phone at 229-333-7410.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE EXAM:

- Your current validated VSU ID

- A Black pen

- A #2 pencil

- A dictionary (optional). May be a hard copy or electronic.
