Career Opportunities Presents Graduate, Professional Schools Fair Nov. 5

VALDOSTA — The Office of Career Opportunities at Valdosta State University will present its Graduate and Professional Schools Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, in the University Center Magnolia Room.

Current students and alumni interested in pursuing master’s, specialist, doctoral, professional, or other post-baccalaureate degrees are encouraged to attend and discover the many educational opportunities available to them at VSU and other institutions of higher education across the nation.

Participating in the Graduate and Professional Schools Fair are City Year, Clayton State University, Georgia State University, Jacksonville University, Kennesaw State University, Life University, Mercer University, Nova Southeastern University, Richmont Graduate University, Trinity School of Medicine, Walden University, and VSU’s own Graduate School, Marriage and Family Therapy Program, Master of Library and Information Science Program, and Department of Psychology and Counseling.

“It is never too early to plan,” said DeLois Hargett, employer relations coordinator with Career Opportunities. “If you’re thinking about graduate school, take the time to come and speak to the graduate and professional schools representatives at this event about admission and application requirements for their programs in medicine, business, law, and more.”

VSU’s Office of Career Opportunities strives to provide career development and awareness, experiential learning and/or cooperative education, and professional employment opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students and alumni. Its staff collaborates with the university’s employer and community partners to develop the employment potential of students and graduates and to utilize their innovative, intellectual talents.

Career Opportunities will present Education Career Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, in the University Center Magnolia Room.
