VSU Campus Wellness to Host Health MythBusters June 25

VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University Campus Wellness will host Health MythBusters from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, in the University Center Magnolia Room 2. This event is free and open to the public.

Health MythBusters is an informational mini-series based on the popular television show, MythBusters. The event will consist of an interactive panel discussion that will debunk common health and wellness myths.

The Health MythBusters panel will include Traci Gosier, health promotions coordinator for the Georgia Department of Health; Sarah Fretti Thomas, instructor of exercise physiology in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences; Dez Gray, fitness and nutrition specialist at D&T Personal Training; and Amanda Cronis, registered nurse at South Georgia Medical Center.

The panel will share their expert advice on general health and wellness, including information on how to manage stress, the importance of having a balanced nutrition, and the benefits of exercise.
