Tickets on Sale Now for Feb. 6 Wine and Swine Scholarship Fundraiser

VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University’s Alumni Chapter of Valdosta and the Alumni Association will host Wine and Swine, a night of barbecue, wine, and entertainment at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, at Glenn and Sherri Gregory’s Creekwater Farm Barn located at 3226 Stallings Road.

Wine and Swine is an opportunity for Valdosta State alumni and friends to support the establishment of a new scholarship for Valdosta area students and to learn more about the newly formed Alumni Chapter of Valdosta. The local chapter is designed to engage area alumni and to spark professional and personal relationships among its members.

Elkins Constructors Inc. will sponsor the barbecue, and Jessie’s Restaurant and Catering will provide the sides. The event will feature wine from Hahira’s own Frogtown Cellars. Joe Smothers, a local guitarist and vocalist, will entertain guests throughout the evening.

The event is open to all VSU alumni and friends. Tickets may be purchased for $25 at www.valdostastate.org/wineandswine. The ticket price includes admission to the event, all-you-can-eat barbecue, and two drink tickets (wine and beer). There will be a cash-only bar available for additional drink purchases.

All VSU alumni and friends 21 years of age and older are invited to attend. Dress is casual.

Contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (229) 333-5797 or alumni@valdosta.edu for more information about the event or the Valdosta chapter.
