Public Administration Advisory Committee Fall Meeting

VALDOSTA --The Valdosta State University Public Administration Advisory Committee (PAAC) held its fall luncheon and meeting on Oct. 19, in the University Center Magnolia Room.

Members of the PAAC include students, faculty and administrators from Valdosta State, as well as political leaders and representatives from local government and nonprofit organizations.

The agenda included an update on the development of an undergraduate degree in public administration and the recently created undergraduate degree in organizational leadership, which is offered online.

Members were also updated on the PAAC strategic plan and the use of assessment tools to measure and improve program performance.

According the PAAC website, members lend support to the university’s graduate public administration programs including the Master of Public Administration and the Doctorate of Public Administration. Members also provide assistance in securing student internships and employment opportunities, and offer advice regarding curriculum.
