Study Abroad Fair Coming Thursday to VSU's Pedestrian Mall

VALDOSTA -- Valdosta State University’s Center for International Programs will host a Study Aboard Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, along the Pedestrian Walkway, between West Hall and Ashley Hall.

Irina B. McClellan, center assistant director and study abroad advisor, said students are invited to stop by and learn how they can travel around the world while taking classes and moving one step closer to earning their degree. She said attendees will have the chance to meet with VSU faculty who lead study abroad programs and VSU students who have taken part in previous study abroad opportunities.

The Study Abroad Fair will feature information about summer, semester-long, and year-long exchange programs available to VSU students. Financial aid can be applied to approved study abroad programs. Students do not have to be fluent in a foreign language to participate.

McClellan said VSU students can travel to dozens of different countries and take courses in everything from business, history, and political science to art and foreign language to geography, psychology, biology, and more. Programs are available in almost every field of study.
